To eliminate digital friction. We believe that the tools we use should amplify our thoughts, not interrupt them. Tandem exists to create a seamless flow between consumption and creation on the web, allowing you to achieve more with less context switching.

A web where the browser is an intelligent workspace, not just a document viewer. We envision a future where AI actively assists your workflow, proactively surfacing context and managing information so you never have to break your focus.
The Story
It started in 2022 with a simple frustration: writing code while watching a tutorial. Alt-Tab. Pause video. Alt-Tab. Write code. Alt-Tab. Rewind video.
We tried tiling window managers, second monitors, and browser extensions. Nothing felt integrated. The browser treated every tab as an island. We wanted a bridge.
Tandem was born from a hackathon project to simply glue two webviews together. It has since evolved into a comprehensive productivity platform, but the core philosophy remains: Two is better than one.
